About Ecuphar

Animalcare Group is an international animal health company, built on more than six decades of pharmaceutical experience, entrepreneurial vision, and strategic growth.

 

Our origins date back to the 1960s with the creation of ESTEVE Veterinaria, which established a solid scientific and commercial foundation in Europe.

 

In 2002, the founding of Ecuphar in Belgium brought a new entrepreneurial drive, focused on veterinary specialization, innovation, and international expansion. The acquisition of ESTEVE's veterinary division in 2015 strengthened a solid and diversified European platform.

 

In 2017, the integration of Animalcare (United Kingdom) and Ecuphar resulted in the current Animalcare Group, a company listed on the UK's AIM market, with greater scale, development capacity, and global ambition.

 

We currently have a direct commercial presence in seven European countries and export to more than 40 markets in Europe and internationally. Our business model combines in-house development, strategic alliances, and selective acquisitions to offer innovative solutions in animal health, responding to the real needs of veterinarians and pet owners.

 

In 2025, we took a key step in our international expansion with the acquisition of Randlab in Australia, significantly strengthening our position in equine health, along with a strategic investment in InVetro Pty Ltd, expanding our presence in the Asia-Pacific pet market.

 

Today, Animalcare Group is an international team united by a clear purpose: to drive sustainable growth through innovation and improve animal health and welfare worldwide.

Our story

  • 1994

    Start of international expansion with operations in Portugal.

  • 2002

    Ecuphar was founded in Belgium.

  • 2003

    Expansion into Italy.

  • 2007

    Expansion into Germany.

  • 2015

    Ecuphar acquires the veterinary division of ESTEVE, strengthening its presence in southern Europe and expanding its product portfolio.

  • 2017

    Creation of Animalcare Group following the integration of Animalcare (United Kingdom) and Ecuphar. The group begins operating as a company listed on the AIM market.

  • 2021

    Launch of the group's new corporate identity, unifying the brand internationally.

  • January 2025

    Acquisition of Randlab (Australia), strengthening the position in equine health and the presence in the Asia-Pacific.

  • June 2025

    Strategic investment in InVetro Pty Ltd (Australia), with an initial 25% stake and an option for future expansion.
